i survived the last day at denali princess wilderness lodge and i made it to anchorage in one piece! i was fortunate enough to get two seats to myself so i got to get some rest during the six hour trip. i went to sleep the first few hours or so and woke up the rest. that’s what i did last time too from anchorage to healy, so i got to see all the sights. we passed by a few really cool places. there is this one city whose name escapes me. something with a “w.” anyway, why i really liked this city was because the mountains were so weird looking! haha. i don’t know how to describe it. well, for starters, it probably had the BIGGEST mountains i had ever seen. lovely lovely. the very tip of it looked like a regular snow capped mountain, but the body of them looked like a HUGE hill. i’ll probably draw it out or something when i get the chance. i wish i was able to take a picture of them, but it was already too dark and the picture would’ve turned out horrendously. one of those, “you just had to see it” kind of things.
i also saw all of mount mckinley! i was so happy! at least everyone said it was mckinley. i can’t tell one mountain from the other if it’d save my life! it was SO big! it was kinda far though so i couldn’t bask in all its glory. i’m glad i finally got to see the tip of it. so exciting!
and i saw another bull moose. SO COOL!
well, i gotta go. maybe i’ll write more in a bit, but right now there are far too many people around me and it’s irritating me. uhhh…
this my possibly be my last post before i leave. maybe. who knows.
so i’m packing right now and it’s going HORRIBLY. coming here i packed WAY more than i needed. now here i am trying to stuff those same luggages with even more crap. i just sent 4 boxes home through the mail today–a walk i would NOT like to remember–and i just fixed up another box to send home. still, my bags are crying. oh man. i think I’LL cry. it’s going so bad. i hate packing. i especially hate packing when there is a 50lb limit. shoot me.
i also have to clean up my room. haven’t even started that. i just got out all the crap that i own and that’s it. there’s garbage everywhere and…ughhh.. horrible. and i have to get my room inspected TONIGHT. and if i fail, i have to pay $100 and forfeit my bonus. *tears* i don’t expect to be sleeping much tonight. it’s my last night here. ughh. i might just pull off an all-nighter and when i’m done, i’ll just watch the northern lights if they are out. i guess that’s looking at the brighter side of things, eh?
today is beni’s birthday and it’s been shitty. he spent all last night writing a document about why he won’t be returning to princess. it is supposed to be delivered to kristen wells, who i believe is the AGM of this lodge. well, turns out she won’t be getting the document right away and he’s really upset about that. we were also supposed to go to our friends’ cabin over at campwell tonight to have a bonfire and celebrate beni’s birthday, but it was raining all day so we had to cancel. it really sucks. we were going to watch the lights too. it’s a lot easier to see them up there than over at healy despite it is more south. instead we were going to go to the totem of have dinner. well, one of our friends go sick and it just fell apart. so now we were left to eat crappy food and spend the night packing and cleaning. sucks.
it’s ok. just ONE MORE DAY. i can hardly wait. i’m done with princess. i wish i could’ve spent my last week here just enjoying alaska, but that’s not going to happen. whatever. at least they fixed the water heater so we don’t have to bathe in icy cold water like the last two nights. f*cktards.. so everyone, DON’T WORK FOR PRINCESS. if you want to come up to alaska and work in denali, work for the park instead or aramark. i’d say the park. at least you get paid more and it’s run by the government and not by a bunch of shitacular fat asses.
i fly out friday morning. i’m probably just going to spend the first day vegging out or sleeping. but after that, hang-outs must begin.

i’ve been reading this one book recently. anyone heard of it? oh man. no. i think that’s pretty much rhetorical now. the book is called “twilight.” anyway, believe it or not, i just found this book in the homestead library. i picked it up because, like i do with most books, i liked the cover art. xP i started reading it and realised that the story sounded familiar. apparently it’s the book (and series) my little cousin from the Philippines, camir had recommended to me a LONG time ago. well, i looked it up online and apparently it is some immensely popular book for teens and they are actually making a movie out of it. O_x woah. i’m so far behind on the times and the “what’s in”s. i might make a vlog about it later. we’ll see. i also found out that some characters (the Denali Vampire Clan) in the later books are from Denali, Alaska. lol. that’s where i live right now. oh funny. maybe i’ll meet some vampires here. xD hopefully they won’t be mean like in “30 Days of Night.” ehhh..

more of an embarrassed “blush” if you are reading it wrong the way beni did. jun was the character i made over a year ago to be the opposite of rock. not quite a mary-sue, but an original character that could be a possible “love interest” to an already established character, in this case rock howard from Garou. which, by the way, they aren’t together. jun just goes to the same high school rock does and she has a major crush on him. if you know anything about rock howard’s character, he is completely uneasy around females. kinda a funny character trait, but that backs up the fact that jun is not meant to be rock’s girlfriend. just ignore this sketch i drew last year:

sorry for the lack of updates. i’ve been pretty busy. went hiking a LOT the past week. since it’s coming down to the last few weeks of our time here, beni and i are trying to make the most out of the beautiful denali. we finally ventured off to dragonfly creek with my friend liz. didn’t quite go up it, but we did go down it and it was amazing! i’ll upload the pictures eventually. so many to go through. liz also took us to the coal mine which was super fun too. got to wear hard hats and everything. x3 there were a few other hikes and adventures but probably the highlight of it all was the helicopter flight seeing tour. can you imagine that both beni and i were able to get into a helicopter flight? and we sat front seat even! oh man. definitely need to post pictures.
kinda strange how we’ve got less than three weeks left. for the longest time i’ve been so sick of denali that home was the only place i wanted to be. but because we are finally leaving, i’m really starting to miss it. i will most likely come back to denali. alaska most definitely. i really love the small little town of healy. it’s different–WAY different–from good old tampa, but it really has its charm. that and the locals here are probably some of the friendliest people i’ve ever met. wow. can’t believe it.
that’s it. i’ve got 18 days left after today. then i’m home. so much is going to be different. i can’t even begin to fathom.

after watching that i looked at other bunny videos on that site. SO FREKKIN’ KYUUUTE! oh man. i feel like one of those freaky cat lovers who take pictures of her cats every time she finds them sleeping in a small, confined space like a shoe or in between dressers. O_o;;
so my big sister officially moved out of the house today. oh man. i was wondering if she cried. then i thought about it and wondered if my papa did. aww! nii-san is such a daddy’s girl. so weird knowing that when i get home nii-san won’t be in her room. yeah yeah. her university is barely 30 minutes away, but it’s still weird. guess she beat me at this race! i hope she has fun living on her own and i hope she takes full advantage of it. i want to go and visit her in her dorm and watch shows like scrubs while we reminisce about the “good old days” as we eat delicious fruits that we are allergic to but can’t stop eating (ie. nii-san+asian pears, me+cherries). yeah… that’s a plan. xD
made a new video since today is christmas for all national parks. it’s kinda blah but oh well.

BREAKFAST! i can see jun as the housewife-type. i had a background of a kitchen going, but i guess through the editing it faded. =/ oh wellz.
getting a few things together at the dorm. it’s totally a mess! i’m trying to get things together to mail home or to mail to people. i’m not taking the same flight home as beni is so i’m going to have to haul all my luggage myself. =C i am also starting to get goodies together (gifts yay!) so those are also cluttering our room
man. i’m so ready to go home! it feels good to do the countdown in weeks now rather than months. OMG! so excited. i can’t wait to see everyone again!! i just got a card in the mail the other day from my kung fu school that everyone signed. even the kids i taught! oh my god! when i saw their signatures there i nearly cried! i miss them so much. i can’t wait to put on that laoshi uniform again and instruct the kids and to do class with everyone again. oh man they are going to be so much better than beni and me. we are so out of shape compared to when we were in florida. maybe because we loose extra pounds due to the 100% humidity we deal with. xP maybe i should work on my stuff hardcore now. man. i wonder how my snake looks. probably horrible.
daddy and nii-san are in new york right now. they went there immediately from california. i wonder who is caring for our house. O_o;; anyway, my kuya jeff–kuya is “older brother” in tagalog i believe. he is our cousin though–is finally getting married. i’m sad i’ll be missing it. i already missed kuya ben’s wedding. =< i wish kuya jeff and his bride-to-be all the happiness in the world. =3
everyone is starting school soon or have already started. so crazy. there are so many people i know who are starting high school and who are starting university. oh man. i’m getting so old! the next thing i know, i’m driving my own kids to their first day of university. OH GOD! for everyone who is starting school again, much luck! breeze through the school year with flying colours! don’t worry. soon it’ll be summer time again. haha. kinda makes me wish i was still in school. i miss that anticipation.

yep. if you were a good little girl or boy and watched the vlog, then you heard right. denali is pretty much a pool right now in some parts. crazy, eh? also, it was really sunny yesterday and today, until now. it’s pouring outside again. O_x
finished watching the last few episodes of Vampire Knight today. uhhh… ok… one of the things i hate about anime these days is their length. i remember getting so pissed about Gravitation’s short run. now all anime these days are like that. if they aren’t finished within 13-25 episodes, then they are drawn out WAAAAAY too long for their own good. i.e. Naruto. -_-;; “rawls! this is a plot altering fight! i must drag this out and experience life-changing lessons before i finally discover my TRUE POWER within me and defeat you!!!” *cough* oh anime.
it sucked because i was really getting into it. guess i’ll just have to read the manga. anyone know where i can find Vampire Knight manga? doubt it’s been published in america yet. that’s probably what these short series do. they serve as a teaser for the actual manga. lame-o. we’ll see if it works.
just downloaded a new series. random episodes though. i have yet to find the first one. sucks. anyway, the series is called…wait. hold on. let me try to remember it. ok. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. phew. doesn’t quite roll off the tongue too well. i wonder what that even means. i’ll have to wiki it later. recommended by suzy. (YAYS!) watched episode two. didn’t really like the art style at first, but it grew on me.
i think i want to do a cosplay of that for the soul purpose of dressing up like the female lead so i can make and carry around that gigantic gun she has. xD
anyway, been playing some God Hand the past few days. that game is addicting. it’s a shame there is no hope for a God Hand 2. stupid Clover and your not being a company anymore…! really funny because the main antagonist’s name is Azel. LULZ! and for those who know me in person probably know why i find that funny.

you know when i say the internet is down, i usually mean that it’s so goddamn slow that it takes you 20-sum minutes to load your e-mail. well, the internet was down. and this time, i mean it was DOWN.
i’ve been able to pick up VERY faint signal every here and there (because my wifi receiver ROCKS the HOUSE) so i was able to do things such as delete e-mail and delete spam. but that’s it. so it’s finally back up, or at least it’s tons faster. so here’s my update to catch up.

went to fairbanks on saturday. had a lot of fun. couldn’t make it to the olympics, but that was ok. we DID get to watch the avatar series finale though and order pizza during it, so it was totally awesome. we also got to go to wal-mart and get some goods. forgot a few things, but that’s ok. ONLY TWO MORE MONTHS!!
it’s been freezing again. though my alaskan friends say “oh it’s been so sunny and beautiful!” well, beautiful yes. overcast though. but i guess to them it’s omega sunny. oh alaskans. but because it’s been so cold recently, it started to snow again up in the moutains! and because it is so cloudy and snowy up there, i haven’t been able to take a good picture.

so i decided to draw a sokka inspired picture of the moutains. xD
beni said that igloo looks too cute and good to be “sokka inspired.” but i didn’t have the heart to erase him.
it’s sad because that took me more than 10 minutes to draw… -_- *shame*
speaking of drawings.. let me start on those because it’s really a butt-fuck.
