also, someone wrote a REALLY good article about the whole white avatar cast issue. it’s pretty much stirring up a typhoon with the whole avatar community.

aang! oh man i was so proud of this one. i don’t think the photo did the drawing much justice. i also like how the blue on his head and eyes have a glowy effect. xD must’ve been the flash.
lulz!! i just HAD to put “melons” on there. too bad katara’s aren’t so big. xD!!! drew this one to be a little light-hearted. i’ve been drawing dramatic scenes from the avatar finale. since this was the last avatar drawing i was going to do, thought i’d lighten it up. =3
that’s about it for now. OH! just got a package from beni’s dad. it had a lot of goodies such as candies and video games. one of the games was KOF 02/03. yay! it’s butt-raping fun!!

you know when i say the internet is down, i usually mean that it’s so goddamn slow that it takes you 20-sum minutes to load your e-mail. well, the internet was down. and this time, i mean it was DOWN.
i’ve been able to pick up VERY faint signal every here and there (because my wifi receiver ROCKS the HOUSE) so i was able to do things such as delete e-mail and delete spam. but that’s it. so it’s finally back up, or at least it’s tons faster. so here’s my update to catch up.

went to fairbanks on saturday. had a lot of fun. couldn’t make it to the olympics, but that was ok. we DID get to watch the avatar series finale though and order pizza during it, so it was totally awesome. we also got to go to wal-mart and get some goods. forgot a few things, but that’s ok. ONLY TWO MORE MONTHS!!
it’s been freezing again. though my alaskan friends say “oh it’s been so sunny and beautiful!” well, beautiful yes. overcast though. but i guess to them it’s omega sunny. oh alaskans. but because it’s been so cold recently, it started to snow again up in the moutains! and because it is so cloudy and snowy up there, i haven’t been able to take a good picture.

so i decided to draw a sokka inspired picture of the moutains. xD
beni said that igloo looks too cute and good to be “sokka inspired.” but i didn’t have the heart to erase him.
it’s sad because that took me more than 10 minutes to draw… -_- *shame*
speaking of drawings.. let me start on those because it’s really a butt-fuck.
uncharted and alaskan inspired. not like my other drawings, but i thought it had a sense of serenity.

an AU with the theme of Draken–Drakkeng–DAMMIT! i can’t spell it work crap so i’ll just call it it’s original name. an AU with the theme of Drag-On Dragoon. it’s one of the games we bought while up here. pretty good. i asked beni that day what he wanted me to draw, and he said him as Caim and me as Furiae. oh sib-cest. ps: the armour in that game is retarded so i did my best to fix it up a little. failed miserably because it looks the same. xP

probably the best toph drawing i’ve ever done. x3 i love it. this was probably one of my favourite scenes in the finale. if they dragged it out even two second longer i think i would’ve cried. this one is beni’s favourite too. so he had me laminate it. x3

i think the Tokka in me squeed during this. the whole scene was just dramatic. i loved it. picture wise, i think i did some pretty good shading here. at least in sokka’s face. that was freakishly hard though. xP

today is so effin’ windy. beni and i were walking back to the homestead from the stampede when this huge gust of wind literally threw me up off the ground (about an inch or so, but still) and blew me forward. oh man. thank god i was holding beni’s hand! it’s almost like when we first got here. good lord the wind was strong!
speaking of when we first got here, remember when i would talk about how cold it was an such? and recently i’ve been saying it’s been hot? well apparently, by august, the temperature will start to get cold again and nights will be longer! yay! and apparently by the end of our stay here, nights will be long enough to HOPEFULLY get a glimpse of the aurora borealis! EEEE! i’m so excited!
yesterday i went for a walk by myself (with igloo though!). took a hellalota pictures. i might post them up here. might not. we’ll see. as for pictures…here’re the pictures of my drawings the past few days!

lolrskates. i love drake from Uncharted. beni decided to name his character Tyler or Ty for short. mine is Eleanore or Ellie.
so today at work, i decided that i couldn’t call Paul “Paul” anymore. i keep calling him josh who is another one of my co-workers who i keep calling paul. -_- i told him he reminded me of Ocelot from MGS3. today, i decided i should call him that from now on. but ocelot couldn’t have all the fun! i named josh otacon (which the “o” in the names didn’t help with the name issue), james volgin, and david snake. snake and ocelot decided i be “sniper wolf.” we even had name tags. xD oh good times.
NOTE: this was actually last night’s blog. the internet was down super early so i didn’t get a chance to publish this.
today i randomly have the day off. well, tomorrow i have the day off again too. unfortunately i will not be having my usual saturday and sunday. lame. i hate working those days. i don’t know why. i worked saturday last week too. ugh… just reminded me that my next day off will be in 8 days. lame. it’s ok. hopefully i’m going to go to fairbanks and watch the Indian Eskimo Olympics. yeah. that’s a real thing. i’m super excited to see the blanket toss!! i hope i can do it too… xD and hopefully we can find a way to get there aside from hitchhiking. do you tip the driver when you hitchhike? i should look up hitchhiking etiquette. xP

i think i’m getting more and more pumped up to see avatar next week. i’ve been reading post from 14 Days of Avatar and as painfully nerdy some of those people are, i can’t help but feel like i’m on the same boat as them. not ship. OH GOD NO. yes, i am a participant in ZUTARA week, but i’m not a rabid fangirl. i just think it’s cute. you know, like a puppy or a new born. i think the only “ship” i’m really into is sokka and suki, which is canon. O_o so, yes. much looking forward to for next week. now all i gotta do is find out what time avatar shows in alaska… =/
DRAWING TIME!
ha. i think i was pissed off at beni when i drew this. just a quick note on MGS3, even though snake “gets some” at the end, you can tell that romance and sex was not ANYWHERE in his agenda during the mission. poor eva. that day, it was hard to even get a peck on the cheek from beni seeing as how all he did when we got home from work was play this jurassic park game and far cry. yeah… i was pissed.
changed it up a little. beni wanted me to start drawing an Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune alternate story. (i was AGAIN pissed off at him because he made it seem like he didn’t like MGS anymore. his interests change so much) of course, beni as drake and me as a slightly more attractive elena. oh elena. how cool you are because you aren’t an overly busty femme fetal.
obviously not a drawing. just introducing you to the characters if you have NO idea what Uncharted is. most non-gamers don’t. left is Nathan Drake, middle is Victor “Sully” Sullivan, and right is Elena Fisher. =3 it’s a really awesome and fun game. i suggest that if you have a PS3 you at least rent it if not buy 3 copies. beni puts it up to challenge Devil May Cry in awesomeness. that’s really saying something!

Manipulative
probably one of my favourite ones because it’s very light-hearted romance. yeah the other ones didn’t really have much romance in it, but this one is just innocent. i used mainly patterns in this and hardly any shading so it has a completely different feel to it than the others, i think. and someone tell me if the red chord is japanese or chinese or something complete different!! aaaanyway, it’s under “manipulative” because the red chord (which is..haha..pulling the strings (uber pun!)) is bringing the two together even at an early age. like i said, light-hearted. =3 though one of the things i didn’t like about it was that the art style i used for katara and zuko made them look like characters from Digimon Adventure. you know, overly skinny/anorexic. tis all good.
well, i guess that’s all for now. see y’all tomorrow on my OTHER random day off..

my alternate story for MGS3: Snake-Eater. this part made me sad. i felt so bad for snake. god. to think he can still function after he’d been beaten, electrocuted multiple time, shot in the eye, AND shot in the leg…that still amazes me.
