tonight’s sym-bionic titan left mixed emotions for me.  i was happy, i was disgustingly happy, then i was incredibly sad.  D=  oh.  but then i was warm and fuzzy at the end.

so who else wanted to cry when titan had to fly tashy 497 up to space to die?

oh right.  i’m the only person over 15 who watches this show.

i figured out why i am liking sym-bionic titan so much.  it’s like anime only without the shit.  xD

i admit i totally dig the high school drama junk.  heck.  that’s why i’ve been watching degrassi for, what, 8 years now?  sbt has it but it’s not over the top like most anime series are.  and the fact that lance and ilana were set up in sherman high as brother and sister kinda prevented any extra unnecessary shipping.  ok.  lead male, lead female.  of course there’s something there!  no one can deny that.  but because dad/newton/octus placed that taboo on them, it makes it a little harder for them to become “friendly” in the non-sibling kind of way.  yay!

ilana: this is lance.
barb: boyfriend?
ilana: brother.
barb: boooo.

the fights aren’t anime-stupid too.  it’s just bam bam bam.  done. no “i’m going to attack this villain with my super ultra awesome power of mine unique to my bloodline, but i must first overcome the conflict within me before i can succeed in my mission” crap.  oh!  and it doesn’t take an entire episode for one person to make the first move. *cough*naruto*cough*  nor does it take 7 episodes to power up.  *cough*dbz*cough*  and sbt also doesn’t waste an entire episode on flashbacks which are just sepia layers over previous episodes.  then again….it’s only on episode 5.  maybe we haven’t hit that just yet.  oh god i hope it’ll never come!

the characters aren’t anime-stupid too.  we aren’t overwhelmed with panty shots from ilana (thank GOD!) nor is she unrealistically naive.  she’s a little bit of a ditz but that’s just because she’s unfamiliar with earth culture.  octus’ newton hologram isn’t a creepy perverted nerd who’s goal in life is to lose his virginity to some hot chick from school.  and he doesn’t have swirly glasses!  thank god!  i would’ve never even given sym-bionic titan a chance if i saw newton had swirlies.  ughh…!  and lance, though “complicated”, a fighter, and an overall pretty boy, you never have to question if he’s gay.  YAY!  zomg!!  lance and chan forever!!!  riding their ricers off into the sunset!!!  yaaaaaaaaooooiiiiiii!! ….by the way, i will punch anyone who actually supports a shipping as stupid as this.

i’m still getting used to the art style which was the reason i first stayed clear of the series.  ilana, who originally annoyed the shit out of me, is finally growing on me and i’m actually starting to like her as a character.  she’s weird, but what alien girl isn’t.  i guess she’s kinda like starfire in a way(??)  that and her “hip” sense of fashion is my kind of thing.  hahaha~  i also didn’t really care for octus too much.  i guess because he’s a robot and i never have love for non humanoid characters.  but i love him now.  xD  i think his part in “elephant logic” sealed the deal for me.  when he was playing that “teamwork” song from that “animal friends” show with all the military men surrounding the titan, i was actually laughing out loud.  and of course lance was created to be cool and he’s just my kind of dude.  but i think the part when he actually did parkour won me over!  (unlike that pos “unnatural history” that advertised as a parkour rich show.  yeah.  it was lame.)

i guess what i’m saying is that it’s a fun show that’s not over-the-top anime which is something i’ve grown WAAAY out of.  check it out!  ^w^

boob:  please…  i’m so full.  i’m hurting so much.  will you please help me?
raven:   i’m sorry left boob.  dakota is asleep.  until she wakes up, you can’t be drained.
boob: would you please just pump me than?
raven:  no.  no, i can’t!  what is dakota wakes up and i pump both you and your friend?  then no food will be left for little dakota and she will cry.
boob:  i hate you!  [pulls out lightsabre, cuts itself off raven's body]
[raven begins to bleed profusely.  boob stands over raven's dying body laughing.]
raven:  nooo, boobie….!  whyyyyyyy….???  [reaches out to boob.  hand drops.  dies.]

this is my newest screenplay.  how do you like it?  it was inspired by episode 3 when ani turns to the darkside and becomes a pansy.  ok.  i’m not very good.  maybe i should stick to art.  or maybe take care of the engorgement problem.  dunno.

i just downloaded this program called PS3 Video 9.  i’m using it to convert this video file so i can watch it on my playstation.  it’s taken 3 freakin’ hours!!!  and it’s not even done yet.  this is stupid and ridiculous.  i wanted to watch this tonight.  it’s only at 78% and it’s already 11.  so much for that.  stupid program.  i’m p.o.ed…!

you know what i hate about living next to the neighbourhood park?  at least twice a week, this group of gangsters meet up there and hang out all night.  i wouldn’t mind them so much if they weren’t so loud.  they blare their music, smoke, make a lot of noise, just anything like that.  i’m always afraid that they are going to jump the bushes that separate our house and the park and vandalise our back garden or something.  i wonder if i can call someone about that.  unlike my old neighbourhood, i’m not sure if we have a neighbourhood watch.  i wish we did so they can make these kids leave.  they make me feel really uncomfortable.  luckily dakota is used to noise while sleeping so they don’t tend to wake her up with their yell-talking.  but still.  ugh.

been watching little bit of that new show sym-bionic titan from genndy tartakovsky (best known for “dexter’s laboratory”, “samurai jack”, and “star wars: clone wars”).  i first got interested in it when i finally saw a teaser for it at SDCC.  i thought, “ok.  i like tartakovsky’s work.  this could be good”.  when i finally saw the trailer, i was disgusted by the art style.  not sure why.  it just seemed too 80s or 90s (later i found out this was intentional).  didn’t watch the first few episodes.  i couldn’t get over the art style.  \there was nothing to watch.  sym-bionic titan was on so i decided to finally give it a shot.  honestly, it wasn’t bad.  i kinda liked the characters and their rather conflicting personalities.  ilana being a dorky happy ditz, lance the bamf, and octus the weird robot…thing…  xD  i kinda can’t stand ilana, but when i think about it, without her lance can’t be cool.  hahaha…  ilana, you DO serve a purpose!  this week’s episode was totally lultastic with it’s initial d wannabe theme with the asians and the cars and the over the top drifting.  i think that kinda sealed the deal.  i think i’ll catch this show on a regular basis now.  xD

which reminds me.  young justice should be airing soon!!!  ZOMG!  i can’t wait!  sldjfoisajelfjsdoivmslefjoiasmelfj!!!!  i loooooooooved the comic back in its day.  never thought they’d make a show for it.  yeah….it’s a little different.  different cast obviously.  and not just in heroes too.  the heroes’ indentities are kinda mixed up.  wally west and dick grayson rather than bart allen and tim drake?  hrmm…  and i find it weird that with those two you have conner kent.  i’m pretty sure conner was a bit younger than their era.  i don’t know.  it’s been a while since i’ve read young justice, or any comic at that!  maybe i’m wrong.  i wonder if any of the other characters from the comic will make an appearance.  like secret.  i loved her and her story.  and since the group has wally as kid flash maybe bart can make an appearance as impulse (since it was impulse who was a part of the team rather than him as kid flash).  i guess we’ll have to see.  i think it airs late november.  everybody better watch it so they’ll make more episodes!
